Republican State Senator Kim Ward is returning to her position as the top lawmaker in the Pennsylvania Senate.
Ward was selected as Senate Pro Tempore—which is the third highest ranking in Pennsylvania government.
It puts her third in line, behind the governor and lieutenant governor.
Ward represents portions of Westmoreland County.
