The Pennsylvania Senate is expected to vote on a bill that would create a Cannabis Control Board.
Senate Bill 49 would create a cannabis control board that would help guide regulations for medical marijuana. This would include ensuring efficiency, improved oversight, and patient access. While establishing uniform safety standards.
The bill does not mention if the board would oversee recreational marijuana if ever signed into law.
The bill passed in the Senate Law and Justice Committee by a vote of 7 to 4 with all seven Republicans voting in favor of the bill.
