A Pennsylvania state senator is requesting an investigation of the two past elections.
Republican Doug Mastriano says he has sent letters to counties requesting materials and information about the past primary election and the 2020 election.
Mastriano has close ties to former President Trump and is a possible candidate for governor in 2022.
Governor Tom Wolf though is pushing back on this effort.
“Seems to be just one more effort, like Arizona, to get back to what happened eight months ago that was obviously won by Joe Biden,” Wolf said.
Butler County Commissioners said they were not asked to be a part of this investigation. A few counties have confirmed that they’ve received Mastriano’s letters. The process to move forward however appears more unclear.
