The Seneca Valley baseball team defeated Norwin 1-0 yesterday afternoon to win the WPIAL Class 6A championship. Seneca Valley scored the only run of the game in the first inning, and junior starting pitcher Ryan Rebholz took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. It is the fifth WPIAL title for Seneca Valley.
Shaler won the Class 5A baseball championship following a 5-2 victory in eight innings over Pine-Richland last night.
The Seneca Valley softball team will face Hempfield this afternoon in the WPIAL Class 6A championship game. First pitch is 3:15pm at PennWest California University.
