Lawmakers in Harrisburg are once again considering a bill that would implement a “bell-to-bell” cell phone ban.
The “bell-to-bell” policy was implemented at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School and while testifying at hearing over the policy, Lisa Graham a school counselor at SV called the program “overwhelmingly positive.”
The policy, that has received bipartisan support, would restrict cell phone possession during the school day. There would be exceptions for certain emergency and medical needs approved by school authorities.
The bill has been referred to the house education committee and has yet to receive a vote.
