High School Sports:
The Seneca Valley girls softball team go for a state title today at State College when they face Spring-Ford. First pitch is 4pm. The Raiders enter the game 16-6 overall. Spring-Ford is 23-2.
–Armstrong fell 4-0 to Pittston in the Class 5A championship Thursday.
–Avonworth won the 3A title with a 7-2 win over Lewisburg. It was their first state championship.
–Montour won the Class 4A Baseball state championship following a 10-9 victory over Holy Ghost Prep.
–Neshannock fell 1-0 in nine innings to Everett in the 2A title game.
–Only one WPIAL Baseball team remains in the hunt for a state title. Bethel Park will meet Selinsgrove this afternoon in the 5A title game.
