The expansion of a state program that allows seniors and those with disabilities to get a larger rebate on property taxes and rentals is now in effect.
Governor Josh Shapiro says that the new PTRR program will allow people to apply for a rebate up to $1,000. That is up from $650 maximum that was in effect last year.
Eligibility is determined based off of cost-of-living instead of income-limits. Officials believe that it will expand eligibility to 600,000 state residents.
The application process can be done online. We have a link at ButlerRadio.com.
