Three of four people arrested and charged in a Butler City drug bust in 2024 have or will plead guilty.
In December 2023, police found that 41-year-old Clint Nagle of Butler attempted to acquire crystal methamphetamine over the prison phone. In July 2024, police received a tip that 36-year-old Kaitlyn Dempsey was selling the drugs with Nagle.
A month later, police served a search warrant at a Butler City home and found 50 grams of methamphetamines along with drug paraphernalia, psychedelic drugs, and THC wax.
Police charged Nagle, Dempsey, 53-year-old Jason Prementine, and 42-year-old Ben Mauthe in that bust.
Dempsey, Nagle, and Mauthe have all pled guilty, while Prementime is awaiting trial.
Dempsey was sentenced to 10 to 60 months in prison and three years of probation in October.
Nagle was sentenced to 18 months to 60 months in prison and three years of probation last Thursday.
While, Mauthe will plead guilty but is awaiting sentencing scheduled for early March.
