Seven Fields Borough now has reached an agreement to partner with a new police force.
Their council voted to approve a $650,000 agreement proposed by the Northern Regional Police Department. The Wexford-based department will now take over full-time police coverage of the borough.
Seven Fields Manager Tom Smith there were no additional details to provide about the contract.
The agreement will take effect beginning in January of next year.
The decision comes after deciding to end the joint partnership with Evans City to maintain a police department earlier this year.
Evans City meanwhile is continuing to examine options for police coverage in their area.
