A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until later on tonight.
The National Weather Service says that Butler County is under a severe thunderstorm watch through 6 p.m. tonight.
The watch comes as strong storms have already made an impact on some areas of the county this morning.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for northern Butler County and other surrounding counties around 11:10 a.m.
The National Weather Service said 50 mile per hour winds and hail were reported in near Harrisville and Grove City.
