Governor Josh Shapiro will be addressing the Commonwealth at noon today for the yearly budget address.
It’s expected Shapiro will call for more funding for public schools after the state Supreme Court ruled Pennsylvania’s school funding system unconstitutional. He’s also advocated for more funding for PASSHE schools.
It is also expected that Shapiro will announce an additional $200 million in funding for public transit.
Pennsylvania House Republicans plan on responding at 2:30 pm later that day.
