Governor Josh Shapiro is touting improvements in the state’s unemployment compensation system.
Shapiro says the average wait time at the call center is down to nine minutes, which is the shortest since 2019.
He says they have hired nearly 400 new representatives to help handle calls.
There is also a 24/7 live chat option for those who need help with unemployment compensation.
