All six of the Butler High School Girls Bowlers competing at the WPIBL Singles Championships Thursday bowled their way into the PA Western Regional Singles Championships on March 12th.
Freshman Kelsee McConnell finished eighth overall, and was just two pins away from bowling in the step-ladder championship finals. She had the third-highest single of the day with a 212. Kelsee finished the three games of qualifying with a 515 series. Madison Weiland finished 13th overall. Reegan Malis was 14th. Rachael Blose was 20th. Lauren Bash and Harley Kriess also reached the Regional tournament.
It is the most girls bowlers to reach the Regional event in program history.
Lydia Flanagan of Burrell won the Singles championship.
In the past two days, nine of the 10 bowlers who competed at the WPIBL Singles Championships from Butler reached the PA Western Regional Singles Championships.
