The final day for skill games is in two weeks and if lawmakers don’t pass legislation State Police will begin enforcing state law.
Harrisburg does not have a hard deadline on when or how to pass legislation on skill games. Some options considered at this time is an extension on the current deadline or passing legislation to legalize skill game machines.
The official deadline for skill game operators is October 13. State Police are alerting all local business owners that have the machines, they must be out of their store by that day.
If not taken away by October 14 the Pennsylvania Gaming Control will be able to criminally prosecute the business owner and seize the machine.
Powering the machine off will not be within state regulation and could still lead to penalties.
If assists is needed State Police can assist with compliance but they must be contacted before the deadline.
