Slippery road conditions kept emergency crews busy during the morning commute today.
Accidents included a two-vehicle collision on 422 East in Summit Township near Carbon Center Rd. just before 7 a.m. One vehicle occupant apparently suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital.
In Jefferson Township, a driver hit a pole in the 100 block of Winfield Road, bringing wires down around 8:30 a.m. Nobody was hurt in the accident. Winfield Road had to be closed for a time as crews worked to repair the downed wires.
Also around 8:30 this morning, a driver slid off of Litman Road in Butler Township. Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene, though it is unclear if anybody was injured.
