Slippery Rock University is preparing for a couple performances tonight.
The SRU department of dance will host a show titled “60 by 60” at 7 and 9 p.m. at the Dance Studio Theater in Stoner West. The show takes its name from 60 performances that are each 60 seconds long. Over 100 SRU students will collaborate through music, paint, dance, choreography, and film. Admission for the event is $5 and tickets can be purchased through the SRU website.
Also Pittsburgh-based quintet C Street Brass is delivering a concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Miller Theater in the Performing Arts Center. Two SRU music instructors play instruments as part of C Street Brass. The group also plans to be on the SRU campus earlier in the day to lead a masterclass with performance tips and advice for students in Swope Music Hall.
