Slippery Rock University is joining a nearby community college for a new aviation partnership.
SRU and the Community College of Beaver County are introducing a “co-enrollment” pathway that will allow for SRU students to earn their bachelor degree, while simultaneously training to become a pilot.
School officials say this is a “first-of-its-kind” partnership that give students full access to each school’s resources and programs.
There are seven different bachelor degree programs that students can enroll in, in order to take aviation classes.
School officials say this will allow students to expand their technical knowledge while earning a bachelor degree.
