Slippery Rock Borough Police are warning about an ongoing financial scam.
Police say they’ve been made aware of fraudulent activities that are showing up on bank statements as a charge from the “Slippery Rock Borough Chief of Police.” The charge also includes the official seal from the police.
Police say they will never charge your bank account for any reason. They advise everyone to check their statements and file a report with police who has jurisdiction in your area.
