Slippery Rock Borough Police are continuing to investigate a series of recent vehicle break-ins while advising residents to take precautions.
According to a recent Facebook post, numerous vehicles around the area have been taken overnight, driven around, then returned back or near where they were taken.
Some vehicles have been taken off road or wrecked and ransacked. Most of these incidents involve keys being left in vehicles. Police are specifically asking for anyone with surveillance footage of West Cooper and Center Streets between midnight and 5 a.m. Tuesday to contact law enforcement.
Police recommend that residents lock all vehicles overnight and take the keys inside.
