Preparations are almost complete for Homecoming festivities at Slippery Rock University.
A pep rally on the Quad is planned for 12:30 p.m. Thursday with this year’s theme of “A Very Vintage Homecoming”.
Friday events will include an alumni employee breakfast, a time capsule opening and reveal, the SRU Communication and Media Symposium, a Distinguished Alumni Dinner, and a comedy show.
Saturday morning kicks off with the homecoming parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street in Slippery Rock. The parade will feature the SRU marching band, candidates for Homecoming royalty, and floats decorated by student organizations.
Alumni will have the opportunity to tailgate and visit the campus throughout the weekend and also take in sporting events—highlighted by a matchup between The Rock and IUP football teams at 1 p.m. Saturday.
