Slippery Rock University is restructuring a program that provides students with intellectual or developmental disabilities a path to competitive employment and lifelong wellness.
The Rock Life program has been providing opportunities for about 20 students to experience college by taking classes without credit for the past five years.
Rock Life admissions will be suspended for one year while external consultants evaluate program offerings and identify areas where improvements could be made.
All currently enrolled students will be able to continue the program as intended with all support services in place but the current curriculum will phase out in the spring of 2023.
