Snow moved into the area early Friday morning and the projected three to five inches of snow led many school districts to close or move to remote learning.
“Throughout the day, not just during the morning hours, we’re going to see three to five inches of snowfall through Saturday, with the possibility of lake effect snow Friday evening,” AccuWeather meteorologist Jeff Nordeen said.
PennDOT is putting speed restrictions on portions of I-80 this morning. The speed limit is dropping to 45 miles per hour on I-80 in Clarion and Jefferson Counties. The restriction is in between the Emlenton exit to the Phillipsburg exit.
Meanwhile, local road crews are urging residents to move their parked vehicles or other obstacles out of the way so plow trucks can treat roadways.
