The Butler County Area Agency on Aging is holding an event later this week to help local seniors return to the time of their youth.
A Sock Hop will take place Thursday from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at Alameda Park.
Attendees can enjoy a DJ and dancing at the Masonic Shelter followed by bingo, games, and giveaways in the Pine Shelter at 6:30. The evening will also include hot dogs, chips, cookie, drink, and float available to purchase for $5 as well as a showing of the movie Grease in the First Responders Pavilion at 7:45.
Proceeds from this event will support the Butler County Twilight Wish Chapter and grant wishes for area senior citizens.
