A local library is getting into the holiday spirit with an event and several fundraisers this weekend.
The South Butler Community Library is participating in the Saxonburg Parade festivities from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday including helping to decorate the 3rd annual Community Christmas Tree and hosting a local bell choir.
Friday is also an opportunity for residents to join with Saxonburg Police to Stuff the Cruiser with new, unwrapped toys, books and winter clothing for The Lighthouse Foundation.
The South Butler Library is also holding a holiday basket raffle with 18 baskets for all ages including two adult bicycles. Ten tickets are being sold for $5 with proceeds benefitting library programs. A LEGO raffle is also being held to benefit the Roebling Wire Rope Workshop restoration with winners drawn December 21st.
