The Friends of Saxonburg Museum and South Butler Community Library are celebrating the 141st anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge with a screening of a documentary about the structure and its local origins.
After a premier last year, the European produced documentary celebrating the “Engineering Masterpiece” of the Brooklyn Bridge is still not licensed for viewing in the United States other than these showings.
Admission is free and there will be two screenings. The first is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and then another on Thursday at 1 p.m. Guests are asked to make a reservation for limited seating, which can be done by calling the library or using online links on the Library’s website and Facebook page.
Any donations received will benefit necessary repairs for the Roebling Wirerope Workshop.
