Cranberry Township is joining with a couple of other local municipalities in an effort to make it safer to travel in the southwest corridor of the county.
The township’s board of supervisors has applied for a federal grant that would help create a plan to improve pedestrian and bicycle mobility across the region.
Jackson Township, Harmony, and Zelienople are also involved in making the proposed plan.
According to Cranberry officials, each municipality would have to financially contribute to the project based on the latest Census data.
