Slippery Rock University is teaming up with a couple of local institutions to provide a new pathway to earning a nursing degree.
The university recently announced a “one plus two plus one” articulation agreement with the Community College of Beaver County, along with Allegheny Health Network Schools of Nursing.
Beginning this fall, the agreement allows students to take general education classes at SRU the first year, earn a RN at partner institutions the second and third year, and then finish the final year at SRU or online to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
This pathway is designed to help students complete their degree in a flexible way that includes sitting for the licensure exam after the third year and the possibility of working as a Registered Nurse while finishing up the Bachelor Degree.
