Ricky Mineo recorded 17 strikeouts while combining with Travis Holman for the seventh documented no-hitter in program history to highlight the Slippery Rock University baseball team’s doubleheader sweep of Davis & Elkins Sunday at Jack Critchfield Park.
Behind the combined no-hitter from Mineo and Holman as well as grand slams from Abraham Mow and Connor Hamilton, SRU opened the day with a 19-0 victory in game one followed by a 4-2 sweep-clinching victory in game two. The Rock is off to a 4-0 start. They outscored the Senators 47-3 in the four-game series.
