The Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team’s season came to a close last night following a 72-55 loss to California in the First Round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament. The Rock closed the year with a 17-12 record for its 12th winning season in the past 13 years. Cal U improved to 21-8 overall and will face top-seed IUP in the Quarterfinals Wednesday. Butler graduate Tyler Frederick netted eight points and eight rebounds in his final game for SRU. Frederick averaged 14.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game this season.
