The Slippery Rock University football team stayed at Number 4 in the final public ranked-order list of Super Region One rankings unveiled Monday by the NCAA Division II Football Committee. The committee will reveal the teams which make the NCAA playoffs this Sunday night. The top seven teams in each of four regions across the nation will continue their seasons. Unbeaten Charleston and Kutztown lead the rankings, followed by the California Vulcans and The Slippery Rock rounding out the top four spots. The selection show begins Sunday at 6pm at NCAA.com. If the Rock defeats Bloomsburg this Saturday and remains in the fourth spot of those rankings, it would give them a home game the following Saturday.
SRU will host Bloomsburg this Saturday for a 1pm kickoff.
Slippery Rock receiver and kick returner Kylon Wilson was named the PSAC-West Special Teams Player of the Week Monday after he returned a kick-off 97-yards for a touchdown in last Saturday’s 38-20 win over Seton Hill.
