Police say the campus is safe at Slippery Rock University following a bomb threat yesterday.
Students and faculty received an alert yesterday around 10:30 a.m. saying the school received a bomb threat. Officials said in the email that it was a suspected “swatting attempt,” meaning it was a fake call.
However, the university followed their safety protocol and cleared numerous buildings so they could investigate.
The university was given the all clear by the afternoon and Slippery Rock will operate on a normal schedule today.
