Slippery Rock University is partnering with five different school districts in an attempt to bring in more teachers.
The new program will allow employees of Butler, Slippery Rock, Grove City, Hampton, and Franklin Regional school districts to purse their teaching certificate in science, math, and special education.
15 applicants will receive up to $15,000 in tuition assistance to attend Slippery Rock University.
SRU officials say it’s a great opportunity for paraprofessionals, bus drivers, and other employees.
The deadline to apply is August 25th.
