Slippery Rock University is educating students, faculty and staff about online safety and dangers through some upcoming programs.
The annual SRU Cyberspace Event will be held tomorrow (Thursday) from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Advanced Technology and Science Hall. The deputy director of the Cyber Risk and Resilience Center at CERT and the Director of the CERT National Insider Threat Center at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute will discuss risk management.
Another Cybersecurity Event focused on how AI is transforming marketing is planned for April 14th in the Smith Student Center Ballroom. This event will feature students presenting real world case scenarios, live software demos and applications to address cybersecurity challenges.
Finally, a training session will take place April 23rd in the Spotts World Culture Building during which a hacker will guide participants through exercises that bolster practical, real-world hacking skills.
