Slippery Rock University is removing the interim tag of a dean and appointing her to the position on a full time basis.
The university announced that Dr. Nicole Dafoe will be the dean of the College of Engineering and Science effective this summer.
She has served in the interim role since January 2022. At that time however, it was known as the College of Health, Engineering, and Science. The university then created a College of Health Professions this past summer.
Dafoe says she’s very excited to become the dean on a full time basis. She will oversee 80 faculty members and six different departments.
