Slippery Rock University is taking the interim tag off of one of their top administrators.
Dr. Michael Zieg was named as provost and vice president for academic affairs, which oversees academic plans and priorities.
Zieg has spent the last 20 years at Slippery Rock, serving as a science professor before moving to an administrative role.
He was named as the interim provost in 2022.
Slippery Rock officials say there were more than 70 people that applied for the job and the university conducted a nationwide search.
