12 Slippery Rock University football players have been selected to All-PSAC honors, led by Todd Hill, who was named the PSAC-West Defensive Player of the Year. He is the first SRU player to receive that honor since Marcus Martin won the award three straight seasons beginning in 2015.
Hill is a graduate student, who transferred to Slippery Rock after playing at Pitt and Duquesne. He played in last week’s win over Bloomsburg, despite having a torn bicep. The Rock will host New Haven in the national playoffs this Saturday.
Other First Team selections:
–Defensive lineman Munchie Johnson, offensive lineman Joe Cooper, running back Chris D’Or, return specialist Kylon Wilson-who was also named second team at wide receiver and tight end Kam Kruzelyak.
Second Team honors to:
–Quarterback Brayden Long, running back Idris Lawrence, linebacker Jacob Snow, defensive back Eddie Faulkner IV and defensive back Josh Stokes.
Slippery Rock is hosting New Haven in the opening round of the NCAA playoffs Saturday. Hear the game at 12:30pm on The Rock Station 97.7fm with the Coach Shawn Lutz Show. Kick-off is 1pm at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.
