Slippery Rock University is kicking off its Military Appreciation Week with the annual Veterans Day ceremony today.
It is planned for the Russell Wright Alumni House at 11 a.m.
The event is open to the public and will feature an address from U.S. Army first lieutenant and safety officer and SRU graduate Jairus Moore.
The ceremony includes raising the colors, wreath-laying, and a 21-gun salute, concluding at the Alumni Veterans Memorial.
Veterans and their guests are invited to lunch at the Alumni House following the ceremony.
The event is organized by the SRU Office of Alumni Engagement.
