Slippery Rock University head coach Noreen Herlihy took home Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Coach of the Year honors and The Rock women’s soccer team landed six All-PSAC West selections when the league announced its postseason awards Tuesday. Herlihy repeats as the PSAC West Coach of the Year after also earning the recognition following 2024 season as the head coach at Indiana University (Pa.). With this selection, Herlihy is now a five-time PSAC Coach of the Year award winner. She also earned the award in 1996, 2003 and 2012. Herlihy led Slippery Rock to a PSAC West title for the first time since 2019 in her first year back at the program. This fall, she led Slippery Rock to a 12-1-1 PSAC West record, the fifth division title in program history.
One of the six All-PSAC West selections for The Rock was Seneca Valley graduate Sydney Smith – a senior defender from Evans City.
