The City of Butler Parks, Recreation Grounds, and Facilities Authority has approved the engagement of a new solicitor.
The Authority hired 43-year-old local resident John Bench at a cost of $150 per hour.
Bench grew up in Westmoreland County and spent seven years as an associate at a firm in Cranberry before deciding to start his own small firm, also in Cranberry. He has experience with townships, boroughs, and non-profit associations and sees working for the Authority as an opportunity to help the community.
Bench will send an engagement agreement to the authority to formalize the arrangement.
