The City of Butler Parks, Recreation Grounds, and Facilities Authority held its final meeting last month.
Three members of the Authority gathered a couple weeks ago to approve three motions with the first being the management agreement for Pullman Park already approved by City Council and the Butler Area School District. That agreement is now in effect.
The second motion approved was a transfer of all assets held by the authority to the City which previously paid off all outstanding debts owed by the Authority. The City will now own Pullman Park and plans to make repairs to areas such as the roof and turf field later this year.
The final motion allows Authority members to take any action necessary including signing of state forms in order to dissolve the Authority. The City’s solicitor is currently working on filing paperwork towards that objective at some point in the future.
