Pennsylvania’s Auditor General’s office has received the highest ratings possible from an independent auditor’s association.
The National State Auditors Association’s independent peer review has given the auditor general’s office the highest possible rating. The rating rates the system of quality control of audits completed by the auditor’s office.
Auditor General Tim DeFoor credits the rating om transformation with in the department since he has taken office.
“We have worked to transform our department to ensure the best auditing practices are in place to protect taxpayer dollars,” DeFoor said in a release from the Auditor Generals office.
The review period covered a year span from April 1, 2023 to Match 31, 2024. The next review will happen in 2027.
