Governor Josh Shapiro has declared an emergency declaration for Northwest Pennsylvania after they were battered with snow this weekend.
On just Friday alone, Erie International Airport reported 22.6 inches of snow. Storm totals over the weekend range from 37 to 43 inches.
The disaster declaration mobilizes the National Guard to help in Erie. It also allows the state to quickly draw down funding and provide state agencies with the resources needed to assist with the snow storm.
