A bill has passed in the Pennsylvania state house that aims to count mail in ballots before the election has passed.
The bill, which was proposed by Representative Scott Conklin of Centre County, will allow election workers to count mail-in and absentee ballots up to seven days before the election.
Although votes will be counted days before the election they would not reported or released to the public.
The final vote was 102-99 along party lines.
The bill will now go to the Republican controlled senate.
