Members of Governor Tom Wolf’s administration are doubling down on their efforts to raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania.
Acting Secretary of Labor and Industry Jennifer Berrier says that the minimum wage should be increased to $12 per hour with a plan to raise it to $15 over the next couple of years.
She says this would boost the income for over one million workers in the Keystone State.
Critics of the bill argue that raising the minimum wage would hurt small businesses already reeling from the pandemic.
