A lawmaker in Pennsylvania is about to introduce a bill requiring that students learn cursive.
Republican State Representative Joe Adams of Wayne County says he has authored legislation that would require instruction in cursive handwriting.
He believes that learning cursive is a fundamental skill that is necessary for students.
If the bill were to become law, Pennsylvania would be the 19th state in the country to have a legislative requirement to teach cursive.
