After President Donald Trump signed an executive order renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America, one law maker wants to rename Lake Erie.
Representative David Maloney of Berks County in central Pennsylvania wants to rename the great lake connected to the Commonwealth Lake Pennsylvania.
In the bill’s memo, Maloney argues that all Pennsylvanian’s travel to the lake come summer time and Pennsylvania accounts for 40 percent of the yearling steelhead placed in the lake last year.
The legislation has not been formally introduced to any state house committees.
