State officials are reminding residents that the deadline to enroll for individual health insurance is this weekend.
Pennie is the state’s health insurance marketplace and their deadline to enroll for coverage is this Sunday.
“If you need health insurance for yourself or your family, you should check out pennie.com to shop for the best and most affordable plan for your needs, and you should do it before the December 15 deadline to ensure coverage that starts on New Year’s Day,” Pennsylvania Lt. Governor Austin Davis said in a stop in Pittsburgh yesterday. “In western Pennsylvania, there have been some changes to plans and costs, so it’s best to shop around and see what’s available.”
Officials urge new and existing customers to explore all their options before the deadline, especially since there may be changes to coverages from last year.
