The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is accepting applications for their Trail of the Year.
Pennsylvania is home to 14,000 miles of trails, which brings in estimated $20 billion to the Commonwealth’s economy.
The winning trail will receive a commemorative poster, a trailhead marker along the trail, and a grant for safety and environmental education programs.
Submissions must be made online by July 31st.
The 2026 trail of the year was the Pine Creek Rail Trail in Lycoming and Tioga Counties.
