The Department of Health is distributing another large number of naloxone doses around the state.
Officials say the state has purchased more than one million doses of the opioid reversal drug to be distributed to first responders in Pennsylvania.
The latest available numbers from the health department show that this program has helped reverse over 24,000 opioid overdoses.
The state also reminds that there is free naloxone available to organizations or individuals who may encounter someone experiencing an overdose.
