Although the state may not have a budget, lawmakers have passed two laws and they have been signed by Governor Josh Shapiro.
The first law requires all school districts to alert parents or guardians whenever a weapon is brought on to a school property.
This would account for during school hours and during school-sponsored activities, or transportation vehicles with school students.
The second will allow motorcycle riders to legally use two headphones when traveling on their bike.
Both bills were passed with bipartisan supper and signed by Shapiro late last week and go into effect 60 days after signing.
